Q. What difference do fluorescent colors make to curve signs?

Fluorescent colors enhance the performance of reflective curve signs by making the signs uniquely conspicuous at the most dangerous times of the day — dawn and early evenings. They ensure that no important road safety instructions are missed. Fluorescent yellow is approved by the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for use on all yellow warning signs.

Q. Why do some reverse curve signs have one arrow while others have two or three?

The number of arrows on a reverse curve sign indicates the number of through lanes available to road users. While one arrow means a single lane is being shifted, two and three arrows correspond to two and three lanes being shifted, respectively.

Q. What does the Edit Design option on custom curve signs do?

While our custom curve sign templates let you add/modify the text on the sign, the Edit Design option gives you even more control. When you select this option, you will be able to click on the text block and any graphics that can be edited. You may then move or resize the selected object.
